Alaskan Sawmill - Chinese copy

This STIHL MS-391 is pretty much maxed out with this dead / dry 15" Western Hemlock. The rings are mighty tight. I purchased this saw for bucking log decks of firewood (not for milling boards). It is struggling to rip these boards ising a 20" bar and milling chain. PS: NOT breathing in chainsaw fumes will extend your life and its especially important if your face is close to the exhaust. I film...

    All the RAs I’ve tried print very close groups, especially if you find ammo it really likes. However, I found that feeding issues are not uncommon. Frequency of feeding issues varies from one variant to the next, but happened to every single RA model I’ve ever used (and I used at least a couple of dozens). Too bad, really, because it’s a precise, affordable, versatile rifle.

  • @helterskelter156

    The Enfield has the “X” factor in spades, though. I’m a sucker for historic rifles. That Arctic is stunning. That laminated, high vis stock, stainless steel hardware, ultra smooth bolt… really exquisite piece. However, it is proof that it’s not always about the individual parts, but how well everything works, together. PS. The rifles that use bolts which are harder to unlock after you take a shot are more common than not. I found that it is easier to shift the forehand position closer to the mag, before unlocking the bolt. When practiced, you can do it extremely quickly, and without interrupting the flow or losing sight of your target. It’s an extra step that’s worth practicing.

I plan too along with my Remington built, Mosin Nagant i just bought last month! lol My No4 was built in 1943 and , has a different rear sight though.....? Its a milled rear sight with a curved actuator on it. Any info on that? I have not found an example on you tube or any other platform with this kind of rear sight??? Thanks and great stuff!

    Excellent review! Would you happen to know if you can safely shoot 5.56mm rounds thru the .223 chambered Tikka T3x CTR?

    • @goblinsstompingground8355
      @goblinsstompingground8355 14 дней назад

      Most modern high quality rifles can handle 5. 56, but if you get a really spicy round from faulty hand loading or a crap brand it can cause catastrophic failure in a rifle chambered in .223. The margins for pressure tolerance when using 5.56 can be very small. I trust the brand as the CTR will be my third Tikka rifle, but I asked the gunsmith to have it converted to .223 Wylde as that is the perfect chamber if you want to use both cartridges.

    I just bought a 2004 Rokon 3rd hand from my neighbor. Everything exactly like your bike in this video. I didn't think it could really climb up a 60% grade between boulders and large rocks but it didn't have any problem in 2nd gear. I like riding slow through the fields and woods with my wolfdogs. Haven't found anywhere that I can't take it but some places really take cohona's to dare testing it. I'm only 120LB's soaking wet so the bike is heavy to me but, I get so ticked off if I fall that it feels like 40 LB's when I pick it up off the ground. Gonna have to do some elk hunting now since I no longer have an excuse not to. New Rokon's are about $10,000 stock now in 2024 before any extra's or upgrades so I feel very blessed to have gotten one for $2,500 with extra's, a custom trailer, custom saddle bags, extended rack etc.,. Great bike but they are too expensive brand new and I prefer the older models before the front shock and additional chain. People just need to get used to the bike, learn to watch where they're going and stand up on the foot pegs a bit when you're crossing extremely ruff terrain just like when riding a horse. There's a few days learning curve but once you get the feel of it it's just like riding a bike again.

    Great discussion. That 303 is one of the finest rifles ever made. Bar none. I hunted with Dad's WW2 rifle for years. Killed all the animals I aimed at. I have been collecting remington 788's the last few years and have finally been able to secure the 44 mag and 30-30 versions which I've looked for decades to find. People are now selling these amazing rifles for peanuts to buy the latest and greatest rifle and new caliber. Which is fine. It's a democracy. At the range the guys with new rifles snicker at my 788s. I have found the 7mm-8, 6mm, 243 and 308s. The most I paid was $800 bucks for the rare ones. All of mine have the old Weavers and Tascos that came duing this period. Most folks don't understand that back then these were the Leopolds of the day. A simple 4x scope from the 60-70s are even better than the ones to day. My longest shot is 120yds so 4x works fine for quick acquisition. After I've swept the floor with their $2000 buck rifles with my $400 -$800 buck rifle they shut up quick. I then politely tell them to research the 788 as they stare at my sub-moa groupings.

It’s hard wearing, reliable, reloaded/bedded it’s accurate enough to drop a deer size target at 7-800 yards and will be accurate for food on the table beyond 2-300 while most deer would be hit at 50-150y. It’s my SHTF rifle. I never plan to be in a gunfight… if that is the case I have failed somewhere… but remember these rifles were used against US troops in Afghanistan to good effect despite the US being assault rifle equipped. The range is good.
